Here is a selection of the best photographs from the first of many Time attack race events I will be going to over the coming weeks a long with a few images from the a car show called Modified Live. I will be carrying on the wheel images to build a larger collection of examples to demonstrate the sub-trend of wheels expressing individuality.
History & Information on Time Attack
I had a quick look through some promotional material I received to gather what Time Attack is about and the history behind it.
Time attack was introduced to the UK in 2006 but came about in Japan in the 60s and has become one of the most exciting motorsports of this era. Brining in drivers and fans from all over the globe the aim of these race event is about setting the quickest lap they can within that day. Time Attack brings together aftermarket car tuning companies and professional and amateur race drivers together to compete on world famous race tracks.
The cars themselves have different classes to compete with, the idea is to set the quickest lap possible with any production car. Meaning these aren't specific created race cars they originate from road legal standard everyday cars, but there is no limit to modifications.

50 teams are involved in this years time attack spread over different classes, all battling to win by hundredth of seconds. There will be 7 rounds over different race tracks, and the championship is based on a points system and leader board.

Accidents happen, the smallest mistake can result in accidents. Thankfully it was only small but it shows the margin of error is minimal.

This time I have included images of time attack wheels, although not as pristine as the show cars wheels due to the abuse they go through on track the wheel on time attack cars helps define its overall livery design. It completes the whole colour scheme and design of the car.
