Photoshoot & Interviewing with Radioworld Owner

Photoshoot & Interviewing with Radioworld Owner

After speaking to Dale the RadioWorld owner at the Fueled Society event I contacted him later on in the summer to arrange a Photoshoot of one of his other promotion cars that was in for a wrap. A trend that is going round at the moment thats half the cost of a full respray and with alot more color options and even different texture options. All these sub trends that are arising help the car owners become more individual and create unique and high impact project vehicles.

Here are the photos from our last meeting.

A few of his recent purchase from the fueled society event, a Lotus Exige. I got talking to him about this car a little more on this current meeting of him.

Weighing under a ton at 933kg with a 1.8ltr Supercharged engine the cars race bred construction comes from its super light weight and powerful engine.

Combine this with the semi slick tyres which intended use are for the race track and the fact that its about the size as your average small car like a Vauxhall Corsa makes this car practically like a road going go-kart.

Everything about this cars production is for intended race use, the carbon fibre materials used on the body panels. Carbon fibre is a great deal lighter than most materials out there and one of the strongest whilst maintaing a stiffness in the cars frame which is ever important in creating a fast race car.

The colour choice as well strengthens the race appearance through the energy the bright orange tone communicates.

Aerodynamic elements to help the car maintain grip like this spoiler and air ducting in the lower half of the car to provide better air flow.

This was the car I met him for though, I wanted to have a few photos of one of the first Matte wrapped cars in the area let alone it been Nissans Flagship race production car the Nissan GTR.

Like his Subaru again he is trying to merge that show car appearance with cars with race appearance. But this time he has only done that through the colour choice, after speaking to him about future plans he assures me it won't have any ridiculous air suspension applied too it as Nissan spent millions on developing a precise suspension system that has a computer controlling each of the 4 corners of the car helping it maintain as much grip as possible at high speeds, typical Japeneese engineering, very computer based.

The car boasts over 500bhp, similar power to his Subaru so this backs up the statement of the Subaru having lots of Racing car potential.

Interview
I wasn't really after technical aspects of the car though I wanted to know his opinions on the modified car scene at the moment as it has alot of directions and new sub trends that are arising. And been a business man what areas is he wanting to target.

To sum up his response as it was coded in loads of mumble jumble I would say he sees the development of more cars like his Subaru arising. He himself wants to promote air ride as its a new product range he is selling and tried to convince me it has the potential to suit high powered race cars. Im not so convinced but he sees the  amount of cars that merge together Race car elements and Show car elements will begin to grow. So the amount of cars with ridiculous amounts of money spent on engine modifications to make a car "fast" combined with aesthetic modifications like wheel, lowering from air ride and color modifications will begin to rise.

My opinion
I agree after going to alot of car shows and race events I was starting to notice elements form race cars that are built only for racing, there not even road legal (Transported on trailers and in trucks) are beginning to appear on show cars. Its a waste of time the two trends should not merge, it completely kills the purpose of carrying out race modifications to me its just a bragging right. Its all getting very competitive out there and the amount of money been spent to stand out is beginning to get out of hand. Going from the subtle modified classic cars to this its clear its all spiraling out of control.
